Second

A unit of time equal to one-sixtieth of a minute (60 seconds); in modern Hebrew, it is also used to denote a short period of time.

חַכֵּה לִי רֶגַע, רַק שְׁנִיָּה אַחַת.

Хаке́ ли ре́га, рак шния́ аха́т.

Wait for me a moment, just one second.

הַמַּיִם רָתְחוּ בְּשְׁנִיָּה.

Ама́им ра́тху бэшния́.

The water boiled in a second (very quickly).

הַמַּשְׁחֵז עוֹבֵד מְהֵרָה, כָּל חֲתִיכָה לוקַחַת שְׁנִיָּה.

Амашхе́з ове́d меэра́, kol хатиха́ lókhét shniyá.

The sharpener works quickly, each sharpening takes a second.
